A permanent exhibition of historical artifacts for the blind was opened at Iran’s House of Librarians for Children and Adolescents by the Children’s Book Council.
Leila Kafashzadeh has executed this first such project in Iran by offering artifacts` reproduction of artifacts along with brail subtitles at the International Book Fair for Children with Special Needs in Tehran. One section of the exhibition explains how a ceramic artifact is restored. Different stages of restoring artifacts and historical structures are exhibited in relief and can be touched. Enameled tiles from Persepolis, calligraphy from the Islamic era, the Cyrus cylinder and the Bam citadel are among that are exhibited through reproducing.
