In August, the Institute for Research on the History of Children's Literature presented a training workshop, “ Child- Centered Creative Education,” for daycare center teachers and administrators from all around Fars Province(southern of Iran) in Shiraz .
The subjects covered in this workshop included, the meaning of childhood, theories about teaching and child psychology, the principles of creative education, the role of educational tools in learning and an introduction to using creative teaching techniques when working with books : "
Learning Farsi through Literature" and Lolopi+1: Learning Math through Literature".
"Learning Farsi through Literature" is presented in three volumes and is targeted for children in pre-elementary and elementary school. This book teaches reading and writing through literature. Lolopi+1 makes children familiar with basic math concepts through literature. It, too, is designed for children in pre-elementary and elementary school.
Both books are written by Mohammad Hadi Mohammadi, writer and researcher on children’s literature.
