“Books for Children with Special Needs: The Guide to Adapting Books for All” is the title of the third book published by Ketabak this year.
This manual is the work of the Norwegian organization Books for Everyone (Leser søker bok). Books for Everyone has designed this booklet to help people who work with adapted literature, fiction and non-fiction. Because there is so little research done on this subject, much of this booklet is based on experience. The intention is not to write a recipe, but give some guidelines that are applicable both for fiction and nonfiction.
Ketabak has translated this booklet to Farsi to help and encourage Iranian publishers and writers and illustrators to adapt books for children with special needs.
“Reading with Children from Birth to 3 Years Old” and “Lullabies and Rhymes for Children from Birth to 3 Years Old” are two other books published by Ketabak this year.
These three booklets have been published by the Institute for Research on the History of Children’s Literature”.
