Iranak Bank, the Database for children’s culture and literature started its fifth year activity on November 13th, 2010.
After 4 years’ effort to develop and expand this unique database on culture and literature not only in Iran but also in the region, we had hoped that at least some of Iranain academic centers, including universities, would provide a vast resource for their researchers and students by supporting this database. Unfortunately that has not happened.
Today, more than 13,000 pieces of data have been uploaded on Iranak and we are trying to convince academic centers to include this database in their resources. In spite of financial difficulties, the institute is expanding the data’s quality and quantity as well as its technical possibilities.
