Nasrin Khosravi, the well known illustrator of children’s literature passed away on Friday23rd of April 2010 in Canada after a long battle with cancer. For the children of Iran Khosravi left behind a valuable collection of illustrations in close to 28 books. During her successful career she earned many national and international awards for illustration of children’s books, namely the Golden Medal and first award of The Noma Concours for Picture Book Illustrations; the Diploma of Honor from the Children’s Book Council of Iran; the Award and Diploma of Honor from The Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in Iran and the Society of Children & Young Adult’s Writers. In 2002 Nasrin Khosravi was nominated for the Hans Christian Anderson Award by the Children’s Book Council of Iran.
